Scavenger Hunt - Attention all students. There will be a scavenger hunt on Thursday, May 21st open to all students and staff. The cost is $5 per person with all funds going to Winkler Community Foundations. There will be prizes like gift baskets, boardgames, candy, and Timbits for the winners. Register with a group of 4 to 6 people. Signup starts Monday, May 11th in the Zone and ends Friday May 15th.
Student Council - Looking to get involved in your school next year? Come join Student Council! If you have a passion for sports and are limited in time for meetings, consider joining our new Sports Committee. Pick up an application form from Mrs. Kezema or Mrs. Heppner. Forms are due back on Friday May 22nd to Heppner in Rm W21

Audio Training - Are you interested in learning more about Audio Equipment & running Sound for events? Our music program is looking to train a crew to help run sound at concerts and other events in our school & community! Reach out to Mrs. Melanie Urichuk on Teams or in W26 if you'd like to learn more.
Attention Grade 11s - Your input about grad clothing is needed! Scan the QR code on the posters around the school and choose which types of grad clothing you are most likely to buy. Please fill out the form by Tuesday afternoon!
GVC Sports Gala -
Join us on June 1st at 6:30 PM in The Zone at GVC as we celebrate an incredible year of Zodiac athletics at the GVC Sports Gala.
From unforgettable moments on the court, ice, field, track, and beyond, this evening will honor the dedication, teamwork, leadership, and passion of our student-athletes and coaches.
Dress up, celebrate together, and help us recognize the athletes and teams who proudly represented GVC throughout the year.

Big Day
- BIG DAY IS ON FRIDAY, JUNE 12 FROM NOON TO 3:10PM! Plans are well underway, and more details will be announced.
ADVANCE SIGN UP IS REQUIRED for the following activities:
Outdoor Volleyball Tournament – Sign-up sheet is posted by the gym (teams of six).
Zorb Soccer – Organize a team of six prior to the event AND waivers will need to be signed to participate. The sign-up sheet is posted by the gym, and waivers will be handed out in the hub during the lunch hour on Wednesday, May 20th. Waivers are due by Friday, June 5 and can be submitted to the office when completed.
Stonehouse - Stonehouse is taking place today in W26 during the lunch hour. Come check it out.
GVC Pickleball - With over 140 athletes competing, the Zodiac pickleball team had a great showing yesterday at the Manitoba Highschool Pickleball Championships. In round robin play the teams of Lenya & Zoe, Landon & Nolan, Mariano & Nolan, Bryce & Coden, Julena & Melissa all finished in first place in their pools. Congrats to medal winners Coden Thiessen and Bryce Neufeld silver in boys doubles. Mariano Wiebe and Nolan Penner bronze in boys doubles. Blaine Wiebe and Parker Wieler bronze in mixed doubles. Julena McGinns and Melissa Guenter gold in girls doubles.
GVC Golf - Attention students interested in golf! The annual Winden Cup competition between Garden Valley Collegiate and Morden Collegiate will take place on May 22 at the Winkler Golf Course, beginning at 1:00 PM. Practices will take place May 19 and May 21 at the Winkler Golf Course. Any students interested in participating should sign up on the sheet in the office as soon as possible and indicate their level of golf experience.
