Scavenger Hunt - Attention all students. There will be a scavenger hunt on Thursday, May 21st open to all students and staff. The cost is $5 per person with all funds going to Winkler Community Foundations. There will be prizes like gift baskets, boardgames, candy, and Timbits for the winners. Register with a group of 4 to 6 people. Signup starts Monday, May 11th in the Zone and ends Friday May 15th.
Mental Health Theme
- Our final theme for Mental Health Week is Gratitude. Focusing on the positives of life and expressing appreciation can improve your mood, improve relationships, and even boost sleep quality. Try listing a couple things that you are grateful for each day before bed.
Today's challenge: Spend some time thinking about things in your life you are grateful for. Bring a list of 4-5 things to Guidance by the beginning of period 6 today to be entered in a draw for a $50 gift card.
Visual Art Students - Any semester 1 or 2 Visual Arts students that want to submit work for the year end art show at the Winkler Arts + Culture gallery should bring their work to Mr. Crane or Mr. Bell in the art room today.
Stonehouse - Stonehouse is taking place today during the lunch hour. We are excited to have James Shiels as a guest speaker from Pembina Valley Bible Camp. Come check it out!
Intramurals
- Congrats to the staff team on defeating the Canucks 4-2 in the floor hockey finals! With the win, the staff team continues their historic 18-year championship winning streak.
Open pickleball gym will be happening today and tomorrow over the lunch hour. Signups for intramurals are posted on the intramural board.
GVC Baseball - GVC baseball played Altona on Wednesday...game 1 we lost 2-1 Ernie Wall had a terrific pitching performance ... Game 2 we won 2-1 Caleb Harder and Bryce Neufeld having outstanding pitching performances!
